Lumbar bulging disc with sciatic radiation

This specific case left a 53-year-old patient unable to walk, sit or sleep comfortably. The diagnosis was confirmed with an MRI. Conservative treatment included flexion distraction, which is a form of traction done on a segmented table that moves as the chiropractor manipulates the spine; manipulation; and lumbar decompression. The combined treatments resolved the condition and helped the patient avoid surgery.
