Traction

Traction is often used alone or as an adjunct to chiropractic manipulation. It involves the distraction of the joint(s). At Progressive Natural Health, we offer three forms of traction:

  • Spinal Traction of the lumbar region or cervical spine to aid in the decompression of the joint or intervertebral disc space. Traction also accomplishes the mild stretching of the surrounding tissues. This form of therapy has often proven invaluable in the treatment of " pinched nerves".
  • Intersegmental Traction is a form of spinal traction combined with vibratory massage to allow for the stretching and mobilization of the spine and corresponding muscles, tendons and ligaments.
  • Carpal Tunnel Traction is a form of specialized traction to the wrist and forearm to aid in the relief and recovery of carpal tunnel symptoms. This is provided through the use of the CDT Mark IV Device which is currently the most progressive, noninvasive treatment for carpal tunnel conditions.
