Dr. Alan J. Stoughton is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic located in Bloomington, MN.  Born and raised in Crystal Lake, Dr. Stoughton now practices at The Center for Progressive Natural Health, where he was a patient growing up.

As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Stoughton specializes in ensuring proper spine and joint motion, muscular balance throughout the body, and general practice in natural health care.  He is licensed to diagnose and treat conditions ranging from severe headaches, to tendonitis to food allergies. 

A Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Dr. Stoughton brings experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of sports related injuries.  He has worked with riders on several 400 mile bicycle tours through lower Wisconsin, and has been an active member of the Chiropractic Sports Council. 

Using spinal and extremity joint manipulation, cutting-edge techniques to reduce swelling and muscle pain, and therapeutic modalities, Dr. Stoughton is able to successfully treat sports injuries and minimize recovery time. 

As The Center for Progressive Natural Health's Director of Exercise and Rehab, he creates specifically designed strengthening and stretching programs.  He puts on lectures and workshops in the community for running clubs, golfers and baseball players.  Coupled with chiropractic adjustments, proper diet and nutrition, these personalized programs insure that injuries will not be as likely to occur or recur. 

Dr. Alan J. Stoughton believes that it is easier to prevent injuries and illness with good health habits.  This preventative and rehabilitative approach is the method to which he dedicates his practice at The Center for Progressive Natural Health.
